Carter and Ellie (Andy and Mary Ellen's 10-week old). They loved looking and one another and Carter made his best attempts to play (share toys) with Ellie.

So Dreamy...

Carter: 7.5 - 8 months old

Carter loves sitting on Ben's lap while he's on his computer (laptop) for work and so we pulled one out that doesn't work anymore so he can have his own to pound on. It's not plugged in or on so no worries about hurting his little baby eyes.

He *loves* it! It's hilarious when we all three on our laptops at the same time. Now we just need on for PugPuggy!

Getting the "hang" of the Johnny Jump Up (or so we call it in my family).

Play date with Etta (one month older than Carter). She had just started crawling and at one point she was sitting in Carter's lap. I wasn't quick enough to get a picture of it.

Great Pugkin Fest

Carter: 7 months

The love affair has begun! Both Carter and PugPuggy can't wait to see each other. PugPuggy has been super sweet and patient with Carter. It's so fun to watch!

Watching the rain...

This is what Carter does while Mama is in the shower. He stays busy playing. To me he looks like he's hard at "work". He loves it! BIG developmental stage going on right now. It's so exciting to see!

Ben got his new camera... he is taking pictures of EVERYTHING! This is the very first picture he took with his new camera - Canon T2i. Super sweet!

Carter and PugPuggy

It has been so sweet watching Carter and PugPuggy interact. PugPuggy has been getting closer and closer to Carter this last week and letting him pet her. And by the looks of it Carter is now officially BIGGER than PugPuggy! We head to the pediatrician on Tuesday (8/24 - Carter's 6 month birthday!!!) for a weigh in - I'm thinking 17.5-18 lbs!

I think I waited a little too long to try this on Carter, but it somewhat fits... This was an outfit of Ben's when he was a baby. I see a bit of Grant (Ben's sister Jen's youngest president) in Carter's face here.

Rolling Over...

Carter has taken to "walking" up the mirror on the Montessori mat. He's getting his exercise alright!

Rolling over... Carter hasn't rolled of... yet... but we're prepared if he does.

And so it begins... Thank you Darryl and Jen for the adorable University of Arizona t-shirt for Carter. And yes, Carter is now wearing 6 month clothes (he started at 2 months!) - yikes!

Carter vs. PugPuggy (Size That Is)

PugPuggy weighs around 16-17 pounds. Currently we think Carter is weighing in around 15 pounds (an informal weigh-in of getting on the scale with him and then without him).
