PugPuggy vs. The Cat

Ben and I saw a neighborhood cat walking in our backyard and thought it would be interesting to see how PugPuggy would react to the invasion of her territory. We let her outside and it seems PugPuggy was just as taken aback about the cat's presence as the cat was about PugPuggy's. There was no barking or hissing. Just some pacing on PP's part and a cat sitting calmly. After a few minutes the cat trotted off. PugPuggy waited a minute trying to figure out what had just happened and then went searching for her new friend.

PugPuggy's On The Couch?!?!

PugPuggy knows she's not allowed on the couch without a blanket (or lap) to lay on. Here is testament to how well trained she is.

Improv Comedy For All!

As many of you don't know ( I've kept it a secret... why, I'm not sure) I have been taking improv comedy classes since September. These are some of my classmates and friends. It's been a blast! I didn't start the classes with the intention to perform for the public. I started the classes to face my fears of 1) failure, and 2) not being in control. I think I am cured!

Happy V D! (Valentine's Day that is!)

PugPuggy *loves* February 14th. Not only is it Valentine's Day but every year she gets dressed up in her Valentine's dress that Grammy (Megan's Mom, Susan) made for her when she was just a pup. As you can see it still fits her well up top but it's a tad short now. It fit her like a charm when she weighed 5lbs. three Valentine's Days ago (she's now about 15lbs.). I guess now we should call it her Valentine's Day "shirt". PugPuggy, don't worry, it happens... (says the expert on wearing too many things too short for her due to growth spurts).

Bathing Beauty

This is PugPuggy's most favorite place in the world! Sometimes I go outside and check to see if she's still breathing. I can't help but smile every time I see her in her "happy place."

PugPuggy's Balance Beam

PugPuggy is a funny girl! She loves to be outside. Her favorite thing to do is lay on the deck in the sun. Lately she has been testing out new places to perch. Today she was balancing on the top step of the deck - sitting and curled up. She cracks me up!

Happy New Year!

So my favorite "holiday" (after my birthday) is New Year's Eve/Day with Valentine's Day a close second. I love the idea of endings and new beginnings. New Year's Eve was spent relaxing. We went for a walk with PugPuggy around Town Lake (I can't bring myself to call it "Lady Bird Johnson Lake" just quite yet) and had lunch at Jo's on 2nd. Ben and I went out for dinner in the evening and watched DVDs (nothing worth mentioning). We crashed early (dare I admit 9pm?). PugPuggy decided to sleep with us - and with a pug that cute it's hard to argue (until she starts snoring then she's sent to her crate, which she loves). New Year's morning we had invited a bunch of friends over for brunch but pretty much everyone was out-of-town. Luckily John Erler (tall guy from Master Pancake) and his girlfriend Joanne came over with their Lab-mix Molly. PugPuggy had a great time with Molly and the rest of us enjoyed my famous french toast. Cheers to a fabulous 2009!!!
