Painting a Pug

Not the actual pug, a portrait of the pug... PugPuggy, of course!
But she didn't sit (long) for the portrait so I had to take a
photo of her and use that as my template.

Here is what it looked like when I started...

Ben & Megan at Brenda's Wedding

My friend Brenda, who I worked with years ago here in Austin, got married this past weekend. Ben and I had a great time. Not only was the wedding beautiful but I also got to catch up with my friend Greg, who worked with Brenda and me years ago. He took this picture for us.
Thanks Greg!
Congrats Brenda and Bill!

"Lemme out, lemme out, lemme out..."

As I've said, PugPuggy *loves* to be outside. Oftentimes Ben and I find her at the back door in the position above willing the door to open if she stares at it long enough. Usually this works since we take pity on her and open the door so she can sit outside in one of her many positions (see post from 2/26/09). We do worry about our chiropractic bills that are ahead of us if she continues to hold this statuesque postion.

PugPug, smile for the camera...

Let Me In!

Our house has many windows, which I love, and fortunately for PugPuggy we have some that are just the right height for her to see out of, or into in this case. This window is in our kitchen facing our backyard. PugPuggy *loves* to be outside! She usually just hangs out on the deck or in various parts of the grass (see below - hilarious!). But when she wants to come back inside - for a drink of water, or to find out what we're doing - she let's us know by standing at the window and looking in and occasionally giving a little bark that says, "Hey guys, let me in!"
